This site is intended to provide regular communications of JLab contributions to the R&D activities in support of ILC. In view of the US funding situation, direct US-funded ILC R&D at JLab is suspended.

With funding supplied by the US-Japan Agreement, collaborations with our Japanese colleagues moved forward with first EP cycle of the ICHIRO 5 cavity.
In support of planning for FY09 - FY12 two of the GDE-PMs, A. Yamamoto and M. Ross visited JLab for two days of facility visits, technical discussions, and exploratory planning.

Nb Cavity Electropolishing R&D - 9-cell cavities

With stop-gap funding from the US-Japan agreement, JLab and KEK staff members completed a carefully-controlled light EP of the cavity ICHIRO5.

GDE-PM Visit - Februrary 14-15

Akira Yamamoto and Marc Ross visited JLab. The principal purpose of the visit was to provide direct acquaintance for Yamamoto-san to the JLab SRF activities, facilities, and staff capabilities. The secondary purpose was to look for and strengthen alignment of programmatic needs of ILC R&D and JLab's capabilities and interests.
